Beyond the WHY into the WHAT, HOW, and WHO
Have you ever felt like you were watching a play where you’re both the leading actor and the supporting cast?
That’s what it feels like to me sometimes as the pace of change keeps escalating and the most outrageous things keep happening.
So how do you stay centered and hopeful when chaos seems to reign?
As Simon Sinek would say, “It starts with the WHY.”
Starting with my own WHY, I wrote two books over the past six months:
Hope in an Age of Disillusionment – about how we innovated anyway over the past 45 years, despite all the challenges.
Elevate Hope: From Mindset to Framework to Economy – about centering on purpose and mindset to achieve real business results.
For those who have their WHY in place, the next big question is: So what?
Those who truly care don’t want to cling to purpose from the sidelines, hoping for the best.
We want to do something – not just to support ourselves, but to empower, inspire, and forge agency and energy to make a difference.
Beyond the WHY, there’s the WHAT, the HOW, and the WHO.
I see three lenses for envisioning, articulating, and materializing the what, how, and who:
To LEAD with intention and direction
To MANAGE with fortitude and agility
To OVERSEE with diligence and judgment
FountainBlue’s coaching, consulting, and training focuses on how we can better do each of these things.
Whether it’s through web applications, one-on-one coaching sessions, or consulting and advisory projects, FountainBlue is focused on how we can each better lead, manage, oversee, and succeed in spite of—and also because we are now living in—the age of AI.
If this resonates with where you and your organization are right now, I’d love to hear which lens—LEAD, MANAGE, or OVERSEE—you’re most curious about. Reply, comment, or schedule a 15-minute no-obligation call, and let’s continue the conversation.
